Yes, she is! Remarkable voice. Thanks for adding her to the mix.

Wow lots of great female voices

I am going to take a slightly different tack and offer two women who have had outstanding overall musical careers

Arguably one of the most heard, yet not well known, and outstanding female voices ever who stood "20 feet from stardom" for 20+ years
Not only does she carry the 2:00 + minute intro, but gets cranked up starting at 4:00 and just wow...

Mary Black has already been mentioned,,,,, another lady to come out ot the Irish/celtic tradition
is Enya IMO an amazing talent songwriter, composer, arranger, vocalist, who in reality developed her own unique Enya Genre , wrote all the music did all the arrangement played keyboards and sang all the multi-tracked vocals in her debut album

this is my favorite track

This gal has never hit it big has a very unique voice

Now for something completely different. and what can one say but "cool man"

Sonics 03-06-2019 01:18 PM

Lady sings the blues...

...and she sings it 'quite' well.

When I grow up I want to be, the second soloist, Lester Young. OMG that's one COOL kat!

Susan Tedeschi. The Sky Is Crying. What a voice! And her guitar solo makes the hair on my neck stand on end... Every time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWPntKAWvHs.

Also, Rollin & Tumblin. Same gal. Her hubby, Derek Trucks accompanies her. How do you make a guitar quack like that? Not his first day with the slide. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k82-bzhtcys

Thanks for posting this. It is special when a singer takes a well known song and really makes it their own.

Best,
Jayne

I'm kind of lucky, I married an absolutely gorgeous voice! She's an alto and always gets rave reviews when belts it out. Good thing I'm humble about my abilities! :)
