Memphis! Not where I would have expected but a very doable trip for me. I may have to rethink my vacation for next year. I could buy a really nice guitar for the cost of . . .

I miss living in Memphis. They had Memphis in May and would honor another country every year. The year they honored Great Britain, I got to meet John Renbourn when he played about 5 blocks from where I lived. World Bar-B-Que championship. Used to wrap up with a concert on the bluffs and the last piece was the 1812 Overture accompanied by the firing of actual artillery pieces at the appropriate spot.

Good choice. Nashville was where the recordings came from, Memphis is where the music came from.

That drive is a piece of cake, I'll drive you pay the hotel. Let's show off some Quilted Mahogany and Lucky Strike.

You are not allowed to go until you attend Woodstock so we can have a beer and a burger, or some pizza or something. Memphis is out for you until then.

Good work! It's in my diary

Actually the drive isn't really the problem... it's not having those last 2 days to get guitars done :D

I'm doubly pleased as Memphis is old stomping grounds for me.
It is a beautiful city, and home to the best barbecue. (And that's coming from a Texan.) Should be a wonderful event!

Never been there, but always wanted to see that area. We almost went there during this year's vacation. I'm really looking forward to the sights and sounds. With Bob and so many luthiers there we will be able to say know someone.
