Anyone try ernie ball aluminum strings on x30?

Anyone done this? How was it? Got a set lying around and tempted to slap Em on...

I did. I won't say I hated them but I definitely wouldn't buy them again. They made my X30 lower volume than my X20! But by all means try them, who knows you might like them. I found the X30 to not be very picky with different string styles, unlike my X20 which is very particular.

I use them on a Journey OF660 after reading a good review here on that combination. They sure work on this guitar. It was super bass heavy and dull with Elixir Nano lights and Martin 4100 lights phosphor bronze. I use the Martins on everything. So now the guitar has a nice even delivery on all strings all the way up and down the neck. Because the Journey is a removable neck the strings do take an unusual beating. I like them just fine on this guitar!

I use them on a Journey OF660 after reading a review on here. The guitar with the original Elixers were way bass heavy. Tried the Ball Aluminum's and they really brought some balance and clarity to the party. At least for this guitar.
