Seems like I always have a number of songs that I'm working on in various stages. That's probably most of us. :)
The one I've most recently started is Drivetime - Tommy Emmanuel. The opening portion has taken a while to get under my fingers (but almost there). The next challenge is sifting through all the variations of tabs / lessons to figure out which ones are the most accurate. |
Boom-chick.
I've played on and off for 40 years (electric) but never this comping style and it turns out I'm terrible at it. The chords are no problem. The picking and strumming is fine. But the combination of moving between chords on the left and picking out the bass notes and partial strums on the right is maddeningly difficult! |
I'm working on the bridge of "Thinking of You" by Loggins & Messina. The verses are fairly easy, but that bridge is something else to play correctly.

When I'm Sixty-Four (Beatles)
For me it is Aug 7th, so appropriate :) |
Laurence Juber's arrangement of "Dear Prudence."

Great choice. I have a music book of all their songs. I need to dig that out again. |
