1927 tune on a 1927 Martin

Here's a new recording of my arrangement of "Ostrich Walk," based on the 1927 recording by Frankie Trumbauer and his Orchestra with Bix Beiderbecke on cornet. The guitar was built the same year--1927 00-45.

It's in standard tuning in the key of G, though it modulates to C and then back to G. The guitar was converted from standard to Hawaiian by Martin in the early 30's and then "unconverted" by TJ Thompson when I bought it from the family of the original owner in 2002.

Hi David,
A beautiful piece, played beautifully.
Your Martin sounds so good, under your fingers.
Wow - 1927, and it looks like it is brand new!!!
Thanks for this.

Hey friend. Awesome work on this. Pretty complex stuff to play on the fret board. Them old composers were something else. Love that old Gem Martin! A friend many years ago took me over to a Doctors house. The guy had bunch of Martins. Several late 1920s 45 models. He had two 00-45s. He said One at one time was owned by Joan Baez’ Thanks for sharing. Sage
