Crafter SAT Charcoal Burst
I have played worship music in church for years and I had a Crafter SA a while ago and liked it ok but there were some things about it I couldn't get used to. The main 2 challenges for me was an acoustic with electric sustain and the fact I could not play it in stereo: a dual simultaneous acoustic and electric signal.
Along comes the SAT (pictured below) which with a Y Cable you can send an electric and acoustic in stereo to separate channels in a PA or Amps. If you are looking for extra dynamics and versatility... I highly recommend chasing one of these down. I typically play a strong acoustic signal and bring the electric side in as needed, typically with some OD, Modulation, Delay, and/or Reverb. Works really really well for this. I play the acoustic signal through a Fishman ToneDEQ which adds a ton to the sound and effects that seem specifically tailored for acoustic guitar... the dry tone sounds great as a stand alone but the TD adds color, functionality, and all the right stuff. Just throwing this up for anyone on the fence about trying a hybrid. You can usually snag one for about $450-650 with a little patience. https://i.imgur.com/5fLB5vv.jpg https://i.imgur.com/A7FGlS2.jpg https://i.imgur.com/cXgBkqM.jpg All the best and happy playing, Mike |
