really nice.

I felt the mids were just ever so slightly muddy/veiled & I wanted a touch more "air". A 2dB dip (1/3 oct) at 315 & 805 seemed to do the trick for opening up the mids & +2dB shelving at 12k added the air I wanted.

Would you share your recording chain?

Sounds pretty good. Soundcloud uses a low bit rate mp3. You might make the original wav file available for download.

The mic setup was a spaced pair, separated by about 16", set back about 22", one aimed at the bridge (right channel, panned hard right) and one aimed at the 15th fret (left channel, panned hard left). Mics were a pair of Gefell M296S's, Gordon preamp (recently picked up used), and Mytek converters.

Chuck, don't see a download option on the webpage.

If you click on "More" (the ellipsis), if downloading is enabled it should be among the choices.

Not on a site that (ahem) doesn't allow attachments. As a plus, when you download a Soundcloud file you get the same exact file that was uploaded. Even though that's not what you hear when you click to listen.

As Brent described. However, Soundcloud may require you to sign in (have an account) to download. I believe that's the case but not positive. If you don't have an account but are willing to listen to the wav file maybe I could figure out some other method. Thanks.

You can download from Soundcloud without having an account. Need public setting or some such thing.

The account-free version of WeTransfer.com lets you attach up to 2 GB (I think) to what behaves like an email with ftp-like capacity, and neither party needs an account. But you will need to exchange email addresses.
