budget short-scale CF to leave in the car?

Looking for a budget short-scale CF to leave in the car. I am in and out of my office all day, and don't want to lug something back and forth. I don't care about electronics. Doesn't need to sound great either (I've got high end Martins and Gibsons for that). Just nice action, not-terrible sound, and ability to hold up to living in a Florida car.

Check out the Outdoor Guitar thread by Fixed.

The Lava Me 2 has been rated by some folks here, and is available for around $800 on Amazon. If you have a bit more in your pocket, the Journey Overhead OF660 has a removable neck and gives the the added ability to pack it in a backpack (provided) as a carry-on for flying. I've not played either, but have one of Journey's wood overhead guitars, and have been favorably impressed.

Of course, your other option is to buy used. They do turn up now and then, and for leaving in a car, a short-scale option might be an Emerald X7, a Composite Acoustics Cargo or a few others I can't think of at the moment.

It's not a 100% carbon fiber guitar but check out Enya Nova G. It's cheap and despite not being well known, Enya has a good reputation. The following might suit your needs:

I played a Klos CF guitar in a used guitar shop, and was favorably impressed. Quite small body, good neck playability. Sounded pretty decent, but not in any was a replacement for my Journey OF660. Be aware that the Klos does have some wooden parts, even if the vast majority of it is CF.

With a wood neck I wouldn’t want to leave it in a Florida car. The OF660 or RT660 would seem like good choices as well as used Blackbird Lucky13 or the smaller Rider by Blackbird, plus the choices mentioned above.

Nano;

If you buy them all there should be one the bunch that sticks around.

My OF-660 goes on (airplane) trips with me. It lives in the car and doesn't come out when I get home. We're talking 4-5 times a month. It's almost always consistently sharp across all 6 when I put the neck on, and then settles down darn near in tune in 15 minutes. Amazing.

Looks like there are still a few Rainsong CH-PA1100NS models out there (maybe even one or two with the gigbag?). Good sound for the size, I've got one and it sings. Was loud enough for a large bonfire gathering last summer, and sounded twice as good as the other guitar (a Little Martin). But since RS discontinued the model, they won't be available for long.

The Lucky 13 is probably the best all around guitar mentioned here, but I wouldn't call it a budget guitar. A used one will probably still run you better than a grand.
