Very VERY high grade of Bear Claw German Spruce and Highly Flamed Old Growth fallen and reclaimed Koa.
This has the stock features normally associated with the Bob Brozeman PROFESSIONAL Model:
27" scale length and 1.90 nut width.
Very slim shallow C shape neck which reminds me of my 1994 Taylor LKSM but even a bit more slim.
VERY light weight and SUPER responsive.

It has a Schatten Active pickup installed with a sound hole mounted volume control. This super pup runs on two CR02 watch batteries which mount under the extremely light weight soundhole controls. So no heavy 9v inside to worry about.

No other mods or repairs. Not even a strap button!

Just back 6/11/19. Now perfect setup, minor fret dress, buffed and DIALED by my pal and Tech, Pat Quinn.
Pat has been a Senior Repair Tech at Taylor El Cajon for over ten years, and before that did full time Repair at San Diego's famed Blue Guitar. Pat's setups are World Class!
Currently sports Elixir Phosphor Bronze Mediums set up for C with nice low action. Could be tuned up to C sharp or D with current strings.
Can be tuned down to B or B flat or even lower with Heavy Gauge or heavier Baritone strings, so VERY VERSATILE.
Comes with a near mint TKL case that fits perfectly.
Pat commented that even though Taylor owns Koa Forests now they can no longer get this super grade of Koa. ( but I bet Bob T has a stash... haha)

Sadly selling this because as I feared, the wider 1.9" Nut and long scale are more than I could gig with, even with its very comfy super slim neck shape. Also, it is much too minty for worry free gigging!
And I have my FOURTH John Kinnaird Custom coming soon that will need to be paid for! Yikes...

HOLY COW!!! That is some of the nicest Koa I have ever seen...not to mention the top! You have quite the eye and ear for outstanding guitars Paul. Only if my bank account (say wife) would permit....sigh.

This is an amazing-looking guitar, and I can only guess how good it sounds. I have a 12 string by SC in the slope D and it is a joy to hold and play. That's some of the best looking Koa I've seen, including that Ryan Nightingale we both owned a few years back.

These are truly fantastic baritones, and the pro model, like this one, is absolutely stunning visually and sonically - this one has some truly outstanding koa. The 27” scale is very sweet, allowing flexibility in stringing this with true baritone guage strings and really tuning it down, or using standard heavies and having a great sounding and more easy playing instrument. I only wonder about one thing - they normally have a 1-⅞” nut - is this truly 1-13/16” ?

Whoa! I just checked with my digital calipers and got 1.90". So a wider Nut than I thought. Amazing I can get my thumb over on a D chord. No wonder it reminds me of my 94 LKSM 12 string.

I have changed the specs in the original listing.

Thank you Tadol for catching this mistake. Now they will make whatever you want, I guess. Back then I don't know.

Kind of reassuring in a way as I was feeling a bit wimpy in my old age... If it really was 1 13/16" I would have an easier time with it! I do have small (68 YO) hands! It is a very slender neck.

It is fun for laying down and playing lap slide! Nut not a big deal then. Haha

It is currently strung with brand new Elixir Medium Gauge Phosphor Bronze Nanowebs and is OK down to C. A heavy flatpicker might want to tune up a bit, which would tend to pull the action up a bit as well.

Sure sounds spectacular and it is a real LOOKER, too!

Hey Paul, how ya doin’ buddy?
 

Yeah, a bartone should be 1 7/8+ and that’s what you got. You want this for a baritone. Future owner, do yourself a favor and use heavy strings; try D’Addario Heavy (Ga 59-14s) and don’t use baritone strings, or equally bad, don’t use Mediums! The latter would be for dreads. Tone will be amazing.

I figured I would give it a shot with Mediums. It had Bari strings down to B when I got it, and sounded huge but my small old beat up hands could not go there...

It sounds great in C and I can almost play it for a while, SIGH.

These are well known for the ability to accept different string gauges and tunings.

It is super responsive and light weight, that is for sure.

I use the SCGC Medium Tension on my Cruz Dread Cutaway. They tune nicely down to C.

Super cool guitar. Just an FYI, you have it listed as a 1991 in your sig.

Yeah, no prob. FWIW, I just picked up an '89 OM, it actually has 11-89 written on the label inside so you may want to take a look there.

Most likely 2001. FWIW my SN is literally OM-92, as in the 92nd OM they ever made.

You can date the build date on your Santa Cruz guitar on their website - yours is definitely from 2001 -

Note that they have separate runs of serial numbers, based on the model. So OM #1501 was not built right after Dreadnaught #1500 -

You can also use a mirror or a cell phone and look at the underside of the top, since each one is carefully hand voiced, the top is signed and dated by the luthier who carved it.

I was at SCGC the day Brozman picked up #1. He drove up in his ‘49 Caddy Convertible. A year or so later, I went to the residential seminar at his house. Towards the end, he handed me #1 and said, “ Take it for a spin.”

Leapin’ Lizards! What a cannon it was.

Wish I could swing your Brozman. It would require selling one or more from my stable.
