Links to YouTube videos failing - here and elsewhere too???
 

Hi, is it just me?

I'm finding that properly inserted YouTube links on this forum and on other sites are failing.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Is there a fix?

It is now happening on every video, on both my 'puters using firefox.

If I click on the video - this happens but if I click on the link above it, that works. I don't think it is anything to do with the AGF as I'm having the same issues elswhere.

Dunno if it is firefox, Windows 10, or Y/T or what.

Just wondering if anyone else has expeienced the same issues.


mmmm, I just duplicated this on "edge" (whatever that is) and didn't have the issue, maybe its firefox?

I'm using Firefox on macOS and not having any issues with YouTube.

Do you have any extensions installed that might be affecting YouTube?

Firefox on Mac OS works for me too.

I just use plain old google, not even google chrome, and it works fine.

One thing that happens though - and it may not be related to this specific problem - is that the URL (that's what it's called, right?) for some videos has a hard line break embedded, so when you've got it all wrapped & ready to go you post it & just get the black box thing, no video.

Try clearing your cookies in FireFox.

Yup Rockdog, that's what I've been doing for years, but it isn't just my vids its everyones.

I've been seeing it more often. Might have to do with the fact that I have two (2) ad blockers running...

Well, I tred that and it seems to worki, but I've lost by sigh in detain from evey website ! Got any more suggestiions ?

Right, its now 2.15 a.m. and I cleared the cookies 0 the videos won't work again, but now I can no longer get into my bank, my investments, my savings account my credit cards, our C.ick a d collect site (only way we can get food in lockdown) my doctor's surgery and Quora, UMGF and a whole load of other websites.
I am stuffed ! I am extremlty vulnerable and not allowed to go out my froint door.
Anybody get any ideas?

All your saved passwords and stuff are toast. You'll have to
log in again everywhere. I have four or five gmail accounts,
one for my part-time job, one for the university where I
retired, one that's mine, one associated with an organizational
newsletter, one... when I cleared my google cookies not long ago
I was shocked at how hard it was to remember all of them when
they weren't presented to me on a list...

I kind of like for the couple of forums I'm in to "remember" me,
but the passwords for my emails and bank and AT&T and stuff I type in every
time...

I think the youtube error has to do with flash... there's a change-over afoot,
flash is going out of support and youtube videos are all html5 now. Perhaps
you just need to uninstall flash so it won't try to be used. All modern updated
browsers should do html5 just fine...

Hi, I worked until 3.45 a.m. to get most of my oft used sites back, thankfully my wife says she didn't hear the endless ping of my smart phone pinging whilst sending me endless pin codes.

If I never see another Captcha table of daft pictures asking me for "stairs" which are steps, "crosswalks" which are zebra crossings, cycles which are motor bikes, and "bridges" which are actually overpasses, and we don't have "fire hydrants" here, you simply open a manhole! Well I;'m entitled to get ratty at 3.45 in the morning! and now I have to get enough energy to do my home exercise routine! Thank goodness I dolt have any Zoom lessons today!

Still can't open you tube links.
