Irvin SJ custom cutaway
I am excited about this latest build I just completed. It's my first build using maple and I really enjoyed it. The specs;
Irvin Small Jumbo model Maple back and sides Austrian moon spruce top ebony bindings koa rosette and back strip inlays string spacing 1 3/4 nut 2 1/4 saddle 25.5 scale L.R. Wayne that is simply beautiful.
The rosette and binding and back are all just superb. I have a maple Huss & Dalton MJ Custom and really like John Pearse Pure Nickel strings if you're looking for something to try. |
oh, thanks for your most kind words. yes, I love John Pearse Strings. I usually use his phosphor bronze lights, but that's a great suggestion

Congrats Wayne, that's a beauty! I'm a big fan of maple, and your guitar proves why. Sweet clear voice, drop dead gorgeous looks, and you don't have to rob a bank to build with it. Kudos!

That is beautiful. Love the segmented back strip. I am also a big fan of Maple.

Maple .... yum
My John Kinnaird Custom (the OVERLORD) from late 2018 is Western Red Cedar over flame Maple and it continues to sound better and better! And it sounded KILLER to begin with.
