I bought these about a year ago & keep forgetting to share; these are diamond-impregnated files, grits ranging from 40 to 600 grit, in coarse, medium and fine increments (two each). They're a little more expensive now than they were (I paid about twelve bucks), but still a great deal for what they are, and compared to "luthier" branded tools I've seen. I've found them to be extremely useful.

I also found that the width of the files is almost perfect for 'ramping' compensated saddles for intonation...can actually compensate individual strings across the width of the saddle with these.

While I do own a set of diamond files, they don't see much use. I prefer my collection of Swiss files of which I have about 40. :D Diamond files tend to be a bit aggressive for my taste. But again, they are worth having as is any good file.

This same company has a few other types of these; I also got a set of skinny, kinda utility files with varying edges, points, curves, etc...about the same price if I remember.

None of these is super high quality or anything...probably wouldn't last long if used for much metal work (although they work pretty well for touching up slots in electric guitar saddles), but they sure make easy work on bone & wood, and are cheaply replaced if damaged.
