Internal Mic
 

I am looking at the Zoom IQ or the Shure MV88 as an alternative option to using the internal mic on my iPhone se for sketching -- which I have been doing a lot of lately... However after listening to the examples here I am thinking how much of the fish result is a reflection on the purpose and distance and other factors etc...
Here I am trying to work out a song idea and to my ear the iPhone se built in mic sounds pretty good. Could be to my ear I like the roll off on the bass? and maybe the compression?...
