6 Martins (4 Brazilian) and 2 Guild 12's (MORE photos added)

I have decided it is time for a major “restructuring” of my guitar inventory, adjusting more to my current playing and collecting habits. This means that EIGHT guitars are going “on the block”!

First up--my THREE drop-dead-gorgeous Brazilian Martins need to be on the top of the “For Sale” list. Each of these instruments has the most beautiful tone woods, are in superb condition, and sound like a chorus of angels. (I have always said, “if money were no object, these three would all get pickups, and I would play them exclusively! But I have neither the money nor the courage to do so!”)

1) 1994 Martin D45 Gene Autry limited ed. # 44 of 66 made. Brazilian rosewood, with master grade spruce top. 9.9 condition. Leather case. $16,000

2) SOLD 1990 Martin D-40 BLE...Limited ed. # 13 of 50. Brazilian rosewood, Engelmann spruce Top, snowflake bridge inlays, engraved gold tuners, original Mark Leaf case. 9.9 condition. (There is one of these currently on ebay ridiculously priced at 19k)

3) 1984 Custom Martin D45, built for the uncle of the former head of Martin's repair department. Brazilian rosewood, with a one-off custom cherry- burst finish, copied from the burst of the original owner's Gibson (original spec sheet from Martin available ). Delivered in a newer gold-series Ameritage case....both case and guitar in 9.5 condition. $15,000.

One more Brazilian Martin: 1967 D35-12. Very nice set of Brazilian for the three-piece back, very good condition, plays great. This guitar will need a neck reset, as there is no room left to lower the saddle. (It is currently in the hands of repair guru Dave Musselwhite, waiting its turn for the neck set!) Will sell as-is for $2850 or with the neck reset and set-up for $3350

Two more Custom Martins:

SOLD 1) 2011 HD-28V Custom. Premium Adirondack over gorgeous, landscaped Madagascar. 9.5 Condition, OHSC, fitted with a K&K mini—sounds beautiful plugged in, and especially straight acoustic. This is one of Wildwood Music’s famous special orders. $3050.

2) 2011 CS35-11. Of all the “Wave-backs” in this Custom Shop series I have seen, this one has the most interesting and attractive set of Madagascar for its three-piece back. Plus, the Carpathian top is one of the very few that has the sunburst finish. All hide glue construction. Truly a unique and fantastic-sounding instrument. $3895.

BOTH SOLD Next, I have TWO Guild JF65-12 twelve string guitars available for sale! These are often referred to as “King of the Jumbo 12-stringers”! Here is what both have in common:

Built in Westerly, RI (the “good years”).Solid Curly Maple (arched) back and sides, with solid spruce top. Three-striped bound body, bound ebony fretboard with pearl block/abalone wedge inlays, maple neck with double truss rod, bound headstock with pearl logo shield inlay, ebony bridge, gold tuners and original Guild case.EXCELLENT condition, plays beautifully, action is “perfect” with plenty of saddle left to play with. Both are crack and damage-free, and each has minimal playwear, and a very minimal amount of finish checking visible.

Here are the differences:

SOLD 1. 1992 model, with beautiful, naturally aged and darkened top; new neck reset, new bone saddle and nut, and a professional set-up.$1650.

SOLD
2. 1995 model, with a lighter (less aged) top, abalone pearl rosette, and Fishman passive pickup professionally installed. Small chip on back of headstock.$1750.

I am working on getting photos ready for posting over the next few days. In the meantime, if you have interest in any of the above, please let me know and I will forward the pics I currently have. Thanks!

Not looking for anything. But feel free to PM me with what you have--especially if it is a Martin. Who knows...

David...the nut width is 1 11/16, and it has a nice modified "soft" V profile neck.

ADDITIONAL PHOTOS: I will add them for the other guitars as I get them posted to photobucket.

Still waiting for pix of your D45 Autry, as well as that CS35-11.

And I would sure like to know what you are KEEPING, considering these fine guitars you are selling!

You have some very nice pieces there for sure. Good luck w your sales!

Sorry! Still working on getting more photos uploaded to my Photobucket account. (I've tried to add more storage space there, but it is not cooperationg!)

As for the second question, I am trying to focus on my "players" and on the birthyear collection I have started for my family. But the kids keep giving us new grandchildren, so "new guitars in, others out!"

I don't know what you do for a living, but whatever it is, you must be VERY GOOD at it to afford all these beauties! Maybe you just won the lotto a couple of times, but I am jealous of your beautiful children.
Good luck with your sale(s)
