Picked up one of these recently. It’s a killer guitar! Love the VOS finish (similar to Martin vintage gloss finish) and the torrefied Adi top sounds broken in out of the gate.

i had the little brother, L-00 Vintage, wonderful guitars, best Gibson I ever played.
Does this one have the large neck like the L-00? |
Neck is C shape. Not chunky at all. Would not consider it a large neck.

Several weeks ago I was very fortunate to play a friend's 1957 Southern Jumbo, and two 1947 J-45s. I had my 2016 J-45 Vintage with me. As good as the others were, I had no interest in trading or selling mine. The owner of the other three agreed with me. Thanks again for the opportunity, Fraser.

Allan, you are welcome through my door any time!
I have to agree with Allan here on this one. His J-45 Vintage not only equaled my two 1945 J-45's, but bested them in most if not all categories, not the least of which was playability. Given the choice of the 4 guitars in the room, I'd have walked away with the 2016 vintage without hesitation. And that's a bold statement considering what else was in the room that day. The 2016 gave me a whole new appreciation for the new guitars that Gibson is capable of these days. I suspect this one is a beauty as well. Good luck with the sale! If I was in the U.S., I'd have already PM'd you!! |
