D'addario EJ45c's for me - always fresh due to packaging, the composites last longer and are always the right balance of clarity and warmth.

D'Addarios and La Bellas, generally. Several brands work very well in their own ways on a particular guitar. I'll be finetuning all of this as I experiment with a boatload of in-hand string brands these coming weeks. Additionally, I'll be switch and matching saddle materials. But remember, I'm a 'low tuner', so my observations will likely apply only to other low tuners, if others exist.

But, the material of string is just as important. Nylgut, carbon, nylon etc

La Bella 2001s are my choice for classical guitars. I find them to be super consistent with articulate highs and well defined lows.

D'addario EJ45 or EJ46 with a Savarez Alliance 3rd string. I prefer the sound of nylon over carbon, except for the notorious 3rd string.

EJ45s here as well most of the time, usually with a Knobloch or Hannabach
carbon third. Because they let me hear the instrument. Not perfect, with
their slightly plasticky coloration, but I almost always feel relief when
putting them back on after trying other strings.

Plain old Martin classical strings.

Reason is that I started with them. Don't see any need to change them. The action on a classical isn't dependent on the brand of string.

Also, I can find them in most guitar stores although I order most of my strings online since the only guitar shop is an hour away and doesn't stock my other strings.

Savarez 510AR.... Awesome Cantiga bass strings with the Alliance trebles...

Love the sound and feel of them!!

I have always like the Hannabach high tension strings. This might be because I am primarily a steel string guitar player. I always found the G string to be particularly thunky on my guitar and would always swap that out with a Savarez Alliance. Worked like a charm. In terms of using Savarez for all the strings, I just found them difficult to keep in tune.

The D'Addarios always seemed to mushy feeling to me and didn't quite get the tone I was after.

Best,
Jayne

After trying many strings on my Hill New World Player, I've settled on Oasis high tension strings. I think the main attraction to me was the good tone transition between the wound 4th and non-wound 3rd strings. I'm sure there are other strings I'd like but for now I'm staying with Oasis.

I've been playing Savarez for the past few years but recently tried Aquila and like them. Not sure if I'll stay with them as it's my first set but so far so good.

And by the way, this is on a classical guitar.

The Savarez have tended to give me the best overall balance. I have a very light touch if that matters. I have used Hannabach as well.

I like GHS strings.

EJ30 rectified trebles

I use these as I have a guitar that is overly bright, and one that is perfect but still the mellower rectified trebles help when recording it. These strings are my tone control, as the condenser mics in my electronic lab / studio are very bright like the drywall in the room. In addition the rectifieds have a rougher finish on them and allow just a bit more callous bite while I try to make a vibrato as pretty as a great violinist gets. Least you folks think I must be a great musician with this comment, no I'm an old no talent boob just doing this in hopes to get chicks in the next life.
