Any New Limited Edition Rainsongs Coming Out?

Any new Rainsong limited editions being introduced? I would love to see a Shorty with color around the sound hole, not necessarily a rosette.

Ted, you always have something up your sleeve!!

What would you like to see. :) No guarantees but I do think it's time for another short run.

Sounds great! :D I need ideas.

Ted,

The Rainsong Shorty received the AGF award this year. But they need a bit more flash around the rosette! Not the inlay that they usually do, but a nice design like CA does, but in a color. Maybe a cobalt blue..The Rainsong letters on the headstock in blue, and NO electronics!

PLUS add a 12 fret 25.5" scale for us ham-handed pickers! Shift the bridge lower; don't lengthen the upper bout...

Well done Kramster!!!

Ted, you might consider doing a run of 12, so that you can make:

3 SG Shortys with electronics
3 SG Shortys without electronics
And then same with the FT model

This way you can appeal to the masses and be more successful selling them all!

Agreed. This worked well on the third larrivee forum LS03. 12 fret with standard scale and deep bass. My question would be: does this sound as good with carbon fibre guitars where the bass fundamental is already so strong? Would this bounce out the fillings in your teeth?

Well...since you asked...

1. FT Finish
2. Top drawer electronics
3. Colored Rosette (Red, Blue... or Green)
4. Shark inlays would really be cool also

I will call with my CC info today! NOT kidding.

.

On that note:

1. SG Finish
2. No electronics
3. Colored rosette

And I am with you. I too will call in my CC today!!

Folks,

Just an FYI. The idea of a limited edition model is not to change a current model structurally, like going to a 12 fret long scale. Way too expensive for Rainsong.

The idea is to aesthetically improve a current model, like Ted did with the last Rainsong, and the red rosette.

I'm not sure if this idea would cross over into current Rainsong offerings, but how about taking my S-OM1100N2, making it gloss and doing a more colorful pattern around the soundhole??? Ship it in the gig bag to keep the price down...

I would also love something in place of the sharks. I like the idea of fret markers as it really dresses things up.
