Has anyone ever used these String Tying beads?

Do they work? Do they change the sound?


I'd appreciate any info/experience anyone may have

I use the one you've linked to. I'm not convinced they do anything to change the sound, but I find them a cleaner process to tie off without chewing up the bridge string block.
Some people suggest they create a better/more consistent string angle to the saddle and therefore might help the sound. YMMV

They can/do allow a one to two degree increase in angle, avoiding the pulling upwards of a string that is looping under itself. Is that slight increase in angle important, even as I lack the slightest research to back it up? The ties are slightly more time consuming than doing a standard tie onto the block, but they do avoid the chewing up of the block, and they work great.

They look quicker to use than regular tying - I may have to try a set. Always looking for a way to speed up string changing!

These look amazing. I'm a rather young student in classical, playing nylon strings for just a year. While I haven't had issues changing strings, this absolutely looks like it would speed up the process and put less wear on the bridge. Into my cart you go *click*. Buying 2 sets actually...Maybe my instructor would appreciate a small token gift :-)

I have these on most of my classical/nylon string guitars. I don’t think they effect the tone at all. They do shorten a string change by about five minutes.

I use Diamond string beads. I like them.

all LaBella strings now come with string beads included.

I got a set and just used them for the first time. Greatest thing since sliced bread!

I don't think so but would be happy if it were true. They have small plastic blocks the the string identifier on it I believe.

Looks like a neat idea and at only 3 grams weight. I assume you read the 44 reviews on Amazon.

I recently got a set that had both the identifier block and the bead. The bead is a plastic ball with a hole through it and the string has a knot in it.

Maybe one of their ball-end folk sets? What was the string model?
