Pat is one of my favorites as well! He was doing interesting stuff way early on - playing electric with fingerpicks! My first exposure to them was the Toulouse Street album. I first saw them play in '73 in Knoxville, Tennessee, as the middle act in a three-act bill. They blew everyone else off the stage. An South City Midnight Lady was an early favorite that has endured. I learned this one in concert tuning before I learned it was in open G. Nice!

One of my favorite tunes, but for an instructional video, the tune should always be played in full at the beginning of the video, IMO

Thanks Dale!! some good stuff going on there and as always, well presented. Just sent this to my son in law who is getting back to some guitar. He traded for a guitar with his brother and the guitar happened to be in G tuning, so this lesson will offer some good chords and grips to explore this excellent alternate tuning. Thanks!
