Usually I'll take the fussy route, plug in the Shure MV-88 and go to a quiet corner in the atrium, but I haven't tried my iPhone 11 with the Shure yet, so I figured what the heck. My old iPhone 6s was very hit or miss with an acoustic guitar battling the noise gates with ambient reflections.

This one worked pretty well, although the cynic in me thinks it's because the constant noise floor (AC & foot tapping) might have overridden the noise cancelation system.....who knows?

The Monteleone LaCorsa is a joy to hold & play, and makes a lot of noise with little effort required.

Meanwhile.....graphic artist Rich Tate (who's done 2 of my CD layouts) said this is what he thinks I look like when I'm playing. I'll have some of what he's ingesting.....
