Glamour shots in progress, and I'm heading out the door to pick up the guitar from Beau tomorrow!

NGD is finally here! It's been a long journey, but Beau did an incredible job turning my imagination into music. It looks and sounds incredible!

The Schatten HFN also sounds fantastic plugged in. I can't wait to start doing some recording. |
Congrats on your beautiful new guitar--may it bring you a lifetime of joy and music!
Thanks for sharing the ride... |
Really a beauty! Congrats! Now it's time for the real fun to begin! :)
|
Thanks Jeff.-
It sure was a pleasure making this guitar for you and thank you for challenging me with those inlays! Here is my sound sample. https://youtu.be/ORNyb7p07aE |
That turned out so well! Thank you for posting the video, Beau.

That turned out wonderfully, Jeff! Enjoy recording with it! Please do post something here when you do.
Beau is a skilled luthier and a great guy, too. He was one of the six luthiers who contributed to the Luthiers for a Cause project that raised over $100K for The Ukulele Kids Club, which puts ukes/music therapy into the hands of children enduring serious medical situations. |
I was going to post the vid but Beau himself beat me to it! I was happy with the inlay design but you took them to the next level with your execution and engraving. Spectacular!
I'm going to try to find some time soon to record my own sound sample. I saw elsewhere somebody had recorded their guitar when new, and then again two years later with everything as close as possible to the original setup, to show how a guitar "opens up" over time. That may be a neat experiment to try. |

I couldn't figure out how to get the youtube picture to show with my post (it just shows the link). IF you know how, post it again! |
