WTB: Collings MT mandolin

I'm looking for a clean, well maintained, used Collings MT (A style) mandolin. I would also appreciate leads/sources for this (I am aware of the classifieds at mandolincafe).

What about an MF?

I have a beautiful MF (blond, one piece AD back) that I might part with. Are you interested in an F style?

It's my son who is looking. He was originally looking for a new F style, but a manufacturer selling at a lower cost than Collings. He has since changed to looking for a Collings, but a used A style to keep within his budget. I'm sure your MF is wonderful, but I couldn't imagine him being able to afford it. You could PM me your asking price if you'd like.

Thanks,
Chuck

Thanks to those who have given me leads on this. I've made a deal on a used Collings MT and it should be on its way to its new home.

Go to Mandolin Cafe/MT is great for the price

Go to mandolincafe.com.

You should be able to get one used for $1500-1700.

I have one. It's a GREAT mando. Sure I have scroll envy and would love a more traditional F style. But for the price, the tone and volume are awesome.

If I didnt need so 3 or 4 guitars too, I'd probably have that dream mando, but reality has landed me with my MT.

And the MT has killed my mando GAS.

Now if I could only find that dream fingerpickin guitar....

Thanks. I did get it through the classifieds on Mandolin Cafe.

If you're serious about finding 'that dream fingerpickin guitar' you should check out my 06 Bresnan GS (Brazilian and Adirondack) being offered through Luthier's Collection.
