Looking forward to another jem in creation from Jim!

That's some spectacular Brazilian. Look forward to seeing it finished.
|
I always enjoy Olson builds, keep the updates coming.
|
That wood looks amazing! Why are you letting Jim keep some by doing a cutaway :-). Have him send you the scrap for a coaster if he doesn't use it in the trim.

this is actually an issue that has been discussed on this forum quite a bit. I won't hi-jack the thread by opening up the issue of this type of "cut", but there are some who see it as beautiful, and other more traditional types see it as poor quality wood for a guitar. |

One of the nicest backs I have ever seen is the one on this guitar built by Jim Olson...and is behind my selection of this set of Brazilian: http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g2...bd20back20.jpg Anyway, I am really excited for this dread. |
keith the brazilian on this build is pretty impressive..all the best and keep us updated with pictures

Keith,
congratulations and looking forward to your thread. I also spotted the Brazilian neck planks at the bottom of the stack behind your back wood on the second photo :) |
