Joe Satriani - Tears In The Rain - Video
Hi everybody! This is a video I recorded today of my personal rendition of Joe Satriani's "Tears In The Rain" from the 1992 album "The Extremist". I find it a very nice little piece with certain similarities to some classical guitar studios. I hope someone finds it of interest over here! Best, Anatol. |
That's a lovely rendition of a lovely tune!
A side of Satriani many are unaware of... |

Hi everybody!

Hi Anatol, really really beautiful.... and a great idea to move it from Satriani´s electric guitar to a classical guitar - what brings a special feeling for this tune. I also could imagine it with a little bit of a reverb for the sound.... but your interpretation is really great !!! - congratulations !! greetings from Germany - Gerhard |
HI Anatol - I have to say that I did learn this as a result of your post over on DELCAMP but I really struggled with the dropped D.
In the end I play it in standard, which is what I think Satriani does? Drop D sounds great on nylon but man some of those dusty end fingerings get very tricky. Better leave that to those with the skills, like you! Cheers, Steve |
