Awesome! It's just a great time to be alive in the guitar world right now as every guitar and amplification manufacturer constantly innovates to offer new and better things to attract buyers. There really is just something for everyone!

D___... I certainly don't need another instrument, but if we/I don't support nylon string carbon fiber guitar makers, they won't continue to be developed and produced.

So any way... you might have noticed the different sound hole design... they made several changes to the guitar to make a really nice nylon...no real way to hear it in a proper non noisy area...there are sound booths around but they kinda like keeping it at the both to show.. some good interest in it for sure. smaller and nylon seem to be an are of interest. I’ll be with them a couple more times today, first to make sure I got all the info and photos and second to make as many folks jealous as possible.

A detail I noticed just from the picture of it on the NAMM page linked earlier, the endpin location is probably a deal breaker for "classical" players. It's perfectly positioned to conflict with a classical guitarist's left leg.

They do call it a cross-over, so I suspect they are really targeting your typical steel-string players. It could also probably work for flamenco players, if they add tap plates and the pickups can pick up the taps. But classical players will probably not be able to use this comfortably, especially if they choose to plug in.

So...as much as I'm for supporting the development and production of CF nylon strings, I probably just can't support this particular model.

Oh.. my... your uncle will be excited

Well, sort of excited. I've been through just about all of the known CF nylon string guitars and going on my 5th Emerald. My first thought was "darn, another choice." Decisions decisions. Until I finish off my Emerald debt I'm not sure if the budget will account for yet another order.

Is there a price point listed for the Journey? Also, doesn't Journey have two options for removable necks--the one being for less take down than the other?
It looks like this is the true traveler.

Excited looking at the website. I played a full scale classical for many years----many, many years ago, and love the sound of nylon strings as well as steel strings. I miss having nylon.

I REALLY like that it is (almost) ALL carbon fiber vs. a guitar with substantial carbon fiber/fiberglass blend material.

Yes, there's, no logical or practical reason (maybe lighter-a bit stronger), but I really just like being able to say a guitar is ALL carbon fiber!

What real "Brazilian rosewood" is to the world of wood guitars, "carbon fiber" is to the world of composite guitars.

At least it's like this for me.

If that make sense.

And carbon fiber will never be banned like Brazilian rosewood!

That reference to debt doesn't sound good. Maybe hold off for a while. Maybe the nylon strings side of things will continue to improve during that wait period and something even better will come along by then. :)

Not good (for my wallet). The wife has been wanting a nylon string CF guitar.

1-7/8" nut. Maybe that will be too small for her. Her Larrivee is over 2"
