Zoom R24 recording kit.....
 

I put together a really nice recording kit using a Zoom R-24 recorder, a couple of desktop stands, a couple of pencil mics and a nice laptop suitcase, headphones and I'm all set up.

For mics, I’m using MXL 603S matched pair and they sound surprisingly good, not real expensive but adequate for the job.

What’s nice about this rig is it portable it runs on batteries and I can take it anywhere and set it up in about 10 minutes and it doesn’t cost that much I’m pretty happy with it

I bought a set of EKG headphones use for about 30 bucks and it sounds great and works perfectly with the set up

I use my R24 for audio capture only. I've done a few albums and I've got another coming up in January or February.
