Making some good progress. The soundboard is done and the body of the guitar is now complete. I asked Marc for a simple elegant rosette and he NAILED it.

The woods he chose are ancient and he says the tap tones ring like a bell. Still looking for December completion.

Looks gorgeous. Marc has some amazing BRW with glassy bell like tap tones in his stash. I've played a couple now (and still own one) and his Brazilian doesn't disappoint at all!

More pics. The body is complete minus the bridge. Neck and head finishing in process. Looks like an end of November completion. Starting to get excited.

Here she is just prior to shipping from South Africa. I asked for understated elegance and that is precisely what Marc gave me. Should see her sometime late next week.

After a long, long three weeks to clear US customs, I now have the guitar in my hands. It's acclimating to the humidity and temp in my house. Will post the comparison between 000 and OM soon.

After about a month of living with this guitar, I can honestly say that I've never laid hands on a finer instrument. It is the trebles that get me the most. Shimmering, three dimensional, overtone rich but not so much the fundamental tone gets lost. The 12 fret design on a guitar this size makes them so sweet they are fattening. Going back and forth between the OOO and the OM, I have to say the little one is louder. The body is thicker so maybe that's why. It has a richer, more orchestral strum than the OM that vibrates the whole body. The trebles are neat and clean but don't reach the level of those on the OM. I can't imagine two finer stablemates. I'm currently using the OOO for DADGAD and the OM for standard tuning. Toyed with the idea of selling the OOO but after hearing it in the lower resonant tuning, I couldn't let it go.

Hats off to Marc for producing another marvelous work of art.
