Best reverb for $100 or less

Just need a good reverb. Don’t need a lot of bells and whistles. What’s everyone’s favorite pedals. Was planning on buying preowned on reverb fwiw.

EHX Holy Grail. Many on Reverb.

Second this

Ah but which one? There seem to be several variants. Fwiw I was also looking at the Mooer Skyverb and Digitech Polara.

For the price I would go for the Digitech Polara.

They get great reviews from people and I think the reverb engine is designed by Lexicon, a well known manufacturer of studio reverb units.
It's what I plan to buy anyway.

I just got one of these about a month ago for my electric gear. About the sweetest sounding reverb I've ever had - definitely the best sounding that didn't come in a tank in an amp. Tiny and reasonably priced too. It can go anywhere from very subtle to completely over the top, but anywhere you set it for your preferences it sound great. I don't plug in my acoustic much, but it sounds great with it too.

I had a holy grail for a while and thought it sounded good, but found the adjustment was really tough to dial in - a very small turn would have a much larger than desired impact. IIRC, it was kind of noisy too...

Ended up going with the Mr. Black Mini. Same price as digitech, both sound amazing from what I can tell, and I like that it’s a domestic company. Thanks for everyone’s input.

Cool. Let us know how you like it. They make a number of other mini effects that get really great reviews - I may have check one or two out...

Looking forward to hearing about it!

I waited waaay too long to get a reverb - went with a Boss RV-6. Now I’m an addict.

Let us know how it goes. I've never heard of it before but just checked out the link. I wonder if I can go visit them in Portland OR (I work not too far from there).

My go to pedal for Tweed Deluxes is the Boss ‘63 Fender. No longer made, it sounds like the old Fender Tube Reverb.

Agreed. Although I use mine for the shimmer mode primarily. But, they are absolutely packed with great tones. Great choice Mich!

My live board always on is a Holy Grail which I’ve loved. Simple and great sounding.

For my home rig I use an Earthquaker Devices Dispatch Master. It’s a delay/verb combo. Each effect can be turned on or off individually or, combined.

I’m looking into adding a Walrus Audio ARP-87 to my live rig.

Got the Mr Black Mini Reverb. I’m not a pedal aficionado, but it sounds pretty amazing to my ear. Adjustments without being overwhelming. Thanks all.
