Brazilian rosewood Small Jumbo for Healdsburg

A great all-around guitar; it does everything well. 16" body, 25.4" scale, 1-13/32" nut, 2-5/16" bridge spacing. Near-quartersawn Brazilian rosewood back and sides, sunburst European spruce top. Ebony fretboard, Madagascar rosewood bridge, Brazilian rosewood outer faces on the front and back of the backstrapped headstock.

The rosette, heel cap, and end graft are Brazilian pernambuco (Caesalpinia echinata). The binding is Chackte-viga (Caesalpinia platyloba), a pernambuco look-alike from Central America. The pickguard is one-of-a-kind, hand-poured and dyed to complement the guitar. The back stripe and purfling are custom and handmade.
It's clear, balanced, full at both the bottom and top ends. Hard case, Gotoh 510s.

Very nice.

That gets me going - maybe to Healdsburg . . . .

That is just so cool ...

I am not a sunburst fan normally, but I could make an exception in this case.

Also, I love the soundport, I could see it doubling up as a substitute for a strap pin, you could just attach an S-hook to your strap and hook it right in there ...

I'll bet that the Healdsburg discount on this one is more than I've paid for any of my guitars. :)

It's beautiful in a Reshma Shetty way: stunning even though it doesn't match my preconceived ideals of beauty.

Howard...

for whatever this is worth to you, that is a beautiful instrument. The sunburst, the wood selection and the body design are very striking.

Good luck and whomever ends up with this...you are very lucky, regardless of the price paid.

Wow, I really, really like that one!! I wish I was going to Healdsburg so I could hear some of these guitars being played. Is there ever like a Healdsburg CD?

Gorgeous work, as always, Howard. I'm sure enjoying my walnut Klepper KJ, and can attest to its tonal versatility and overall road-worthiness as a musical instrument as well as to its visual beauty.
