He sure does nice work:

Apparently the original had a very thin soundboard- 1mm + or so, according to
Jose Romanillos.

Here are a few videos of this guitar being played. Apparently this model is a flamenco guitar.

Very nice! Love the looks of high quality instruments that feature classic, traditional shapes and designs.:)

Me too. Tony Johnson does lovely work as well, and I have hopes
of someday getting a (simpler) lute from him:

Carey,
Tony has a very impressive background. Thanks for the intro.
I can see how you would have great interest in one of his instruments. And I didnít know that you were a lutenist. Cool! 😎

Andre, I'm not a lutenist. I've only played one a few times, years ago.
My teacher was a good lute-player and used to say that I was playing "more like" one, and that's the plucked instrument that really speaks to me now (lightly-made CGs like this Ambridge, too).

Sounds to me like a lute is in your future Carey. Hold on to those plans! :)

I'm going to, and have mentioned them to that maker. A six-course, for fumbling through Milano in my looming dotage..
