This guitar, with its satin finish, is amazingly clear and responsive, even to the lightest touch. Wonderfully versatile and so comfortable to play, this guitar was built with the redesigned neck support system that Collings implemented in their traditional line last year.

Warm, rich and beautifully built, this Collings is in wonderful condition. I cannot find any marks, scratches or signs of wear. The treble notes are so round and warm - very rewarding guitar!

Those are some mighty fine specimens you have there! With the recent price increases (and some future ones announced) by the manufacturers, the pre-owned market is really the place where some great guitars can be found at reasonable prices (reasonable for being in the high end boutique builders market, that is).

Iris OG - (Spruce/Mahogany) - 2020 - $1900

This pre-owned Iris OG, in natural finish, is a revelation. Incredibly light in weight, with an open, warm and woody tone, it is supremely responsive to bare fingers or pick. That it's a great blues or folk instrument isn't a surprise. That it sounds great fingerstyle in dropped tunings is!

Martin OM-18V (2004) - $2450

This pre-owned Martin OM-18V, built in 2004, is a powerhouse of an OM, with great warmth and projection. It has had a single owner since being built, and has been very well cared for. The set-up is wonderful, with plenty of saddle showing and low, very playable action. There is no obvious fret wear. There are mild scratches front and back which are difficult to photograph and can be seen only in reflection. They do not penetrate through the finish. The sitka top has darkened over time, developing a very nice aged patina.

Larry - Great Demo's as always. Have to say, that Iris OG has some amazing tone out of such a little box. Every Iris guitar I hear just seems to be great - really need to try one out!
