NGD first nylon

NGD...

Art&Lutherie parlor roadhouse nylon. Cedar top.
I opted for the small affordable nylon because:
  • I haven't been playing much and I've lost my steel string callouses.
  • I like to sit in a big comfy chair and my dread and jumbos just require me to contort my arm too much in this position. (As a side note, I did just retrieve my 000-15S this weekend from my daughter but it has a crack that needs fixed. I suspect it will be a good arm chair guitar too when I get it fixed.)
  • I like the soft tone. I've always played even my steel strings with bare fingers, finger style. Now this may be too soft but so long as it isn't mushy I'll get used to it.
  • If I fall in love with the sound, I'll move up from the lam back and side.

Congratulations! With a nylon string guitar you can get huge variations in tone, mostly in the trebles, with different strings and nail shape. Nails can be pretty short and still be effective.
