I assume the S in NS stands for Shorty. But, what is shorter than a H-OM1000N2? What makes a Shorty a Shorty?

I think the NS is RainSong's identifier for the 12-fret N2 neck.

I thought all the Rainsong OM's are 12 fret.

I'm pretty sure you can get an OM body with a 14-fret neck in the original and Concert series, probably the Black Ice also. The Concert Hybrids and Shortys are/were only available with 12 frets clear of the body, but not the others. Ted shows a regular and Black Ice 12-fret OM currently in stock, I'd bet there are others out there.

Given my recent X7 Artisan acquisition, I’d say you knew exactly what was about to transpire! (BEFORE I did.) :)

So, are you thinking a colored Artisan or a custom woody for your X20? :evilgrin:

Funny! I'm thinking I'm pretty well squared away. At last count 18 guitars on hand (well, one is a 4-string bass and another is a 6-string bass). I think that will hold me, for awhile anyway! :eek:

Indeed... I'm actually quite content with 18. :). More than content. ;)

Of course, that doesn't mean that there aren't other guitars out there that I would enjoy having... I can easily think of a dozen other various models that I would enjoy having! :D. There is probably no end to that.

But at some point, one becomes quite sated with gear and focuses more on the music, than on acquiring more gear - hopefully, anyway. :)

I don't know how I can resist. But, somehow... so far... I seem able to. :guitar:

Whenever I get GAS for another guitar, I go and play some of my existing guitars and the GAS goes away! It's amazing! This technique works well for a wide variety of items than one might collect numerous samples of, knives, flashlights, guns, guitars, and on we go! :)

But when one spends a lot of time reading about new ones on forums, the GAS builds back up again. People raving about something definitely has a "buying" impulse effect on others. Forums are dangerous in that regard. I know that my photos and comments about certain items have influenced others to pull out their wallets. And other people's photos and ravings have had a similar effect on MY wallet!

We forum fanatics are nothing but a bunch of enablers, I tell ya!
