The OP's link failed to play Joe's vid to me and I'm fine with that. I was horrified by his act when I heard it live, and nothing I've seen or heard on youtube has changed my mind. I'd prefer to never come across him or his "music" again this time around on this sphere . . . . . .

I heard "Driving Towards the Daylight" on Sirius about a month ago and was just taken aback by the guitar playing of this guy named Joe Bonamassa. I had never heard of him before that. Wow! I could I have not heard of him? Anyway. I became a fan right then and there.

Possibly one of the most idiotic posts I have ever read on a forum anywhere.

I've had the honour of meeting Joe twice. First time, he took me and my son on a personal tour of his stage rig. Second time was over a year later and he remembered my name.

He is one of the most humble, nicest guys I have met, not to mention hard working, which is why he enjoys the success he does to this day.

But that success will always trigger the envy of those who wish they were 1/100th as successful but lack the commitment, work ethic or requisite skill to do so.

I'd prefer it if guitar forums didn't have members like you in them...

When Joe was 12 years old he was playing onstage along with Danny Gatton...

Man, really digging jb . he's got a new fan :)

You know little about guitar playing if you don't recognize his talent.

You can dislike his style but his talent is unmistakable.

If you want his acoustic work, try An Evening at the Vienna Opera House.

His best stuff, in my opinion and I like both of the albums you listed above.
