Which are the classical guitar strings with the hardest tension?
 

Just got a nice Cordoba Mini II. Very nice. It's scale is around 22.5 inches. Even on my standard classical guitar, I favour extra hard tension strings, ( I mostly play Bossa Nova and/or blues/jazz fingerstyle stuff). With the short scale of the Cordoba Mini II, I am really looking for very hard tension strings. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you!

Hannabach..even their medium tension are higher tension than other brands high tension. If you want really high, get Hannabach HT.

I don't know if you're asking about bass strings or trebles, but Savarez Alliance
trebles are quite high in tension, in my experience, along with the Hannabachs mentioned above. With the Hannabachs I notice the tension
more in the basses, but YMMV.

Strings by Mail displays tension figures for many of the brands they carry on their website. You have to click on the full set option of the variety you care about and scroll down to see if it's displayed. If you call them, Matt has always been very helpful in providing guidance on classical strings.

I looked at the tension charts on Stringsbymail.com and it seems that the strings with higher tension are Hannabach Silver super high tension and Martin Magnifico hard tension. Am I wrong?

It looks like that's right. Another option for trebles is to use Seaguar Superflouro fishing leader...it's the same kind of material in carbon trebles. Using 100 lb test for G, 80 lb for B and 60 lb for high E would be pretty high tension...to be mixed with the basses of your choice.

Just from personal experience, the Martin Magnifico highs are very high tension but don’t particularly feel that way. However, the Aquila alabastro highs are also extremely hard....and do feel that way. In fact, I took them off after only a week due to how unyielding and inflexible they were on my (650 scale) Ramirez.

Though this is quite late to the thread, it's still useful just the same:
I have on my Cordoba C10 D'addario J46HT strings..They are very rigid feeling and must be one of, if not thee, hardest; more so than the Savarez Corum HTs the instrument comes with...But at the same time they allow a lower action and have deep bass, warm mids, and razor sharp treble (at least on a C10).
I didn't like them at first and took some getting used to. But now I do, allot !! M
