Only the best materials at Dutch Luthier.
The compositie unibody for the Hybrid 2.0 acoustic guitar will never carry loads like a rotor blade or an aircraft wing so it is over engineered and will last longer then the lifetime of the customer.

What is this?! It looks like a face!

Those are 2 electric ovens on top of the enclosed plug tot post cure the Aero space gelcoat that will become the actual molds surface.

With thermometers in the side!

Best part is, you can make breakfast while the gel coat cures....

Composite eggs will last you a lifetime, these supermarkets only keep getting more expensive.

Except these eggs will plug you up!

What temperature do you achieve inside the box, just wondering?

This gelcoat needs 24 hours at room temperature (20 Celcius) and then 10 hours on 60 degrees Celcius. This box is only for the gelcoat, the real negative mold gets the Aerospace silicone heating blanket underneath. The materials can handle 120 degrees Celcius and the final real body will be baked at 70 degrees Celcius, that will give me a buffer zone of 50 degrees, so it should not warp or schrink or expand. It is sort of like an amp and speakers, if the amp is 100 watt, the speakers should be able to do 150 watt, even if you never turn it up 100%.

Aero space gelcoat

Added an epoxy dye consistant with the Dutch Luther brand (Dutch people love orange).

First batch of gelcoat, don`t think i will mix 1 kilo. It can actually combust into toxic gas and fire. I had this once, it melted through the bottom of the container, it`s scary.

Checking the temperature of the applied aerospace gelcoat.

The full plug is covered by doing it in 3 stages.

This has been a great thread, so much so that your responses are up to over 300 posts. It has been our habit here at AGF to lock such threads and ask that you start a "custom CF Wood hybrid Part 2" thread which makes it much less cumbersome. Thank you and looking forward to following along with the next installment.

Edit: here's the link to the new thread:
