Fingerstyle Guitar Workshop @ Interlochen

Hi, all,

Wanted to give you a heads up about an excellent workshop taking place at the end of July.

One of the instructor is Thomas Clippert. I've taken a number of fingerstyle guitar classes from him over the years, mainly through Oakton Community College just outside of Chicago. He's really helped me with my fingering — on the left and right hand — and helped me improve my overall technique. Great guy, great mentor.

He and his good friend Matthew Schroeder run the Fingerstyle Guitar Workshop at Interlochen Center for the Arts in northern Michigan. It's worth checking out. This year they have Thom Bresh and Pat Donohue joining them.

If I go this year, I may try convincing Pat Donohue to get me started on "Hard Times," one of my favorite fingerstyle songs ever.

Cheers,
Matt

Thanks for sharing. Not too far from me.

If I was a little more advanced it would be well worth it. Need another year to get to that point.

I wish I lived closer. That's more than a fair price to get insight into better playing and composing.

Just noticed this post. I was there, awesome event. I've been doing these music events there since 2009.
