This remarkably smooth and warm Bourgeois dread covers all the bases (and bass). It’s got plenty of volume for picking circles and plenty of lustre for late-night balladry. The aged Sitka top coupled with aged braces results in full, even chords that make strumming even the simplest song a great pleasure.

The torrefied top is a great look, too. There’s something beautifully uncanny about a shiny, new guitar with an “aged” hue. It’s truly the best of both worlds. Turn it around and behold a beautiful set of mahogany with grain structure that flows like crushed velvet. The subtle purfling and likewise understated appointments all serve to frame these magnificent tone-woods.

This is a very versatile guitar. The warmth and cohesion of the tone make it suitable for rhythm work, song-writing, and even fingerstyle. That said, it’s still a Bourgeois dreadnought. It can send a well-picked fiddle tune echoing through the whole valley.
