Vintage Canoe Paddle - by accident!

Just finished refurbing my Grey Owl Paddle Company otter tail as I'm leading a Great Glen, Scotland canoe trip next week for the cancer recovery charity I work for. I've just realised that the paddle is over 30 years old, and still going strong. And there was me thinking that it was still quite new!!!! :D

Nice job! I've been sanding one too, getting ready to stain it. Smooth paddling.

I met a 53-year-old lady the other day that I thought was so young. Man, that made me feel old.

I'm feeling a bit aged myself today. I went back to my old home town and played a music session yesterday with guys I've known for the whole 72 years.

3 hours of music, four hours of re-living times past, an hour of looking at the future. A great day.

6 strings and some tuners and you'd have a Martin Backpacker like I do. ;)

On the trip. Ben Nevis up in the clouds ahead.

Nice Robin! I've spent many weeks in the American Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Scotland would be a bonny place to paddle a canoe.

Hi Steve. I have done 4 trips through the BWCA but the last one must have been 20 years ago.

I have my group camped on Loch Oich tonight. A lovely evening but there are gales forcast for the next few days so I'm going to have to think about how to safely get them home.
