Speaker cabinet jack
What kind of female speaker jack should i get for my guitar cabinet? I am currently refinishing a two 12 cabinet that never had a jack. Going to look great with duratex paint.

Would depend on what kind of output jack is on the output of the amp. Most amps use a 1/4 in. mono jack so a 1/4 in. mono female jack is the most likely choice

I'm not a carpenter or box builder, but I'd route the cab and flush mount this (assuming you're going mono, or two for stereo). |
You need to pay attention to the amp's needs - mono or stereo? Ohm rating?
Ohms will determine if you hook up the speakers in series or parallel. Mono/stereo will determine if you need one jack for each speaker or not. 1/4" 'phone ' jacks would be standard (same as used on guitars). |
That switch craft looks very nice, will order one. Hooking up a pair of 8 ohm Peavy scorpions in parallel, which makes it 4 ohms right?

here she is ready for more sanding today, can I just use regular speaker wire to hook up the speakers?

I use would just use something like one these, in the appropriate length https://www.sweetwater.com/c779--Speaker_Cables And yes 2 -8 ohm speakers wired in parallel = 4 ohm load |

And I think he's talking about inside the cab, not between the cab and the head. I use 12 ga lamp cord from Home Depot. |
Yes, inside the cab from the female jack to the speakers
|
Speaker cord isn't susceptible to RF noise, the circuit impedance is too low for it to be an issue. If it were, an idle cab would play AM radio with nothing plugged into it.
There's a legion of amps wired with lamp cord out there. Just make sure the connections at the jack and speaker are well connected and soldered. An open connection there can wreck a tube amp. |

I have a piece of Monster XP high resolution speaker cable, would that work from the jack to the speakers? not sure what guage

What kind of power is the head putting out? Big difference between an AC15 and a Dual Rectifier as far as speaker power/amperage, for example.
