2016 McIlroy A36C Italian Spruce/EIR $2100 *SOLD*
3 Attachment(s)
Awesome example of Dermot's work here. 2016 McIlroy A36C Italian Spruce over East Indian Rosewood. Guitar is in very good condition with some minor cosmetic love bumps and signs of honest use (see last 3 photos). No issues, set up perfectly and handles standard or alternate tunings beautifully. No pickup.

AGF price $2100 plus actual cost of shipping. This is a good deal and price is firm.

See reverb listing for more pics.

Formerly fellow AGF'er Dustin Furlow's guitar, you can see it in action here (with permission - thanks Dustin!):

This is Mcilroys mid-size jumbo, also known as an auditorium size guitar. It is their most popular size, extremely comfortable to play and produces a clear airy tone with tremendous volume.

Top: Italian Spruce
Back and Sides: East Indian Rosewood
Neck: 5 pieces, Mahogany/Maple/Rosewood/Maple/Mahogany
Nut width - 1 3/4
Saddle spacing - 55mm or 2.16535" (slightly less than 2 3/16")
Scale length - 25.5
Lower Bout: 15 11/16
Upper Bout: 11 3/8
Body depth at bottom: 4 3/4"

For those not familiar with Mcilroy, here is a little history:

Dermot McIlroy, along with his wife Colleen, started McIlroy Musical Instruments on 6th March 2000. Dermot already had 21 years of experience behind him, 10 of those with the Lowden Guitar Co, where he played a role in all aspects of guitar making from the machine shop (he was a qualified wood machinist) to production manager and everything in-between.

Not Fair!!! Dustin makes everything sound great. Hahahaha

Mighty nice axe here and a bargain too!!! I had a nice phone conversation with the OP yesterday, and he seems like a straight shooter and very nice gentleman to me.

Best on this and

No, there is no pickup installed. I have added this info. Thanks.

Insanely good deal. This is one of Dermott's finest models, IMO.

I have an A30c (Sitka vs. Italian) and it is a WONDERFUL guitar. If I was to sell it I would be asking hundreds more.

Close to a deal with a few folks but as of now, still available. Thanks to everyone for their input - it is a fantastic guitar and whoever winds up with it will be thrilled.

Haha, yes I priced it well so it would move fast and I wouldn't have a chance to back out, but I'm having second thoughts as expected...

Im sure this sounds absolutely wonderful. I think you will regret selling. Keep it in DADGAD and play it once a week. :)

An excellent idea and I may end up doing exactly that!
