Barbara Bush dies

Rest In Peace. Age 92.

Extraordinary life: the wife of a president, the mother of another president, mother of another son who left a mark on the political landscape.

Only Abigail Adams has a similar status in US politics.
~~~~~~
I guess this is another test for our community: can we offer our respects to a person who we know via politics, but steer clear of politics itself, and/or “not nice” and non-respectful evaluations?
George and Barbara were married 73 years. Wow. RIP Barbara.
She was always classy and regal and so far above the fray to be admired and respected by everyone. I never heard a bad word said about her. That is such a testament to her.
George H. W. likely won’t be too far behind her. RIP Barbara.
She was indeed classy. I always respected her. And she loved her springer spaniels! That alone is endearing!
She was able to rise above the petty and malicious atmosphere with dignity and class. Godspeed to a Grand Dame.
I'm in the College Station area. She'll be buried here. I haven't seen anything happening yet but I would imagine there will be security and other things going on. Wonder if we'll get a Trump helicopter. I think it will be cool to have a president here and be able to go visit their graves.
By all accounts a wonderful lady who was nice to everyone whether the cameras were there or not. I also respected her literacy campaign and the dignity by which she carried herself. Yes, I am afraid George will be following her soon and maybe that is the way it should be.
