Yamaha replacement saddle
I want to replace the saddle on my FG750S.
Having read some earlier posts I learned that you can go to https://www.yamaha24x7.com/yamahaoms/Default.aspx and purchase a replacement saddle and the following prices hold regular resin saddle: QA079000 $3.06 compensated saddle: QC458900 $6.28 bone saddle: U9337909 $8.84 Has anyone bought one of these? Is the bone saddle compensated? Thanks! |
Haven't bought one of those but check out Bob Colosi's site as another option. Bob's a member here and many of us have upgraded using his products.

I've heard great things about Bob's saddles etc, but I can't get how he can make a saddle to fit YOUR guitar and mail it to you with out ever having seen your guitar.
maybe he uses the force or something, but I prefer to cut my own. it realls isn't difficult if you can work a saw, a flat file and some sand paper. I'm a firm believer that everyone who drives a car should be able to change a wheel at the roadside and parallel park, and everyone who plays an acoustic guitar should be able to cut a replacement saddle. Honestly its a dawdle heres a simple tutorial....... http://www.jsguitarforum.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=90548 |

I just received my second saddle and it's great! Top notch stuff. |
OK, that makes sense, unless you have a guitar that the intonation is a hair off already......

I bought the bone saddle last week to put in my LL6. It was very tall and needed a lot of sanding to make it fit. I didn't notice much of a difference in tone from the plastic saddle that came with it. It is compensated and with S/H the total was 17.32.
