"LOVE" Vintage J45 and a Gretsch 6120T '55 VS

Here is a song that originally wrote a few months ago while demo-ing the Trance Amulet pickup system in my Nowland guitar. But I first recorded it direct with the pickup, something I would never do in a proper recording. So a few nights ago I went to my studio and re-recorded it with my old J45 and then added my Gretsch guitar for some electric fills to double the acoustic slide and also a solo and fills throughout.

Dude, I liked it a lot. Good song.
Very Neil Young and that’s a good thing.
Send me the lyrics and the chord chart?.
I’d love to perform it live with your permission of course.
Being in a duet, we could arrange it with a harmonica or a mandolin.

Knock yourself out but give me the credit.

Here's my notes from recording (well I forgot to write that I hit a G sus4 after the G chords)

LOVE / daniel weldon 2019

the way you hold my heart
we'll never ever be apart

won't you help me baby, I'm fallin
in love ove ove
with you ooh ooh
with you (ooohs Bb -F)

Thanks
If I learn it well enough to perform it I will definitely give you the credit.
I’m going to give it a try. I plan on trying it a couple of ways. I’ll put my take on it but it will be right in line with the original.

I’ll let you know.
Jamie

Addendum:
It’s the kind of song I would expect to hear on a soundtrack from a movie BTW.

Pretty much.
It isn’t too tough. Still trying to figure out how I want to do the vocal.

So, I changed the key to E (Capo) and I’m singing in it like a country ballad in my natural vocal range.
If we do it live, probably go with the harmonica for accompaniment.
It sounds different but it’s still the same melody.
