Any Seagull Performer CW FM QIT owners?

Just trying to see what kind of feedback you might have. I'm still looking to add another guitar. I believe this only has the solid top and not back and sides. How is the quality and would you recommend it?

Thanks!

I own the guitar, but mine does not have a solid b/s, only solid top.
Great sounding guitar, not too loud though. Fantastic amplified.

I have a 2006 that is not the flame maple back and sides all I can say is great guitar. Sounds wonderful both plugged in and not. Love the seagulls

It looks like a really nice guitar from what I have come across. Being that it's not all solid wood, does that take away from the quality in your opinion?

I own a 2009 Seagull Performer Flame Maple Q1T - the dreadnought size - and I like it very much. The only thing I might do differently (if I had it to do again) would be to get the Mini-Jumbo version - sort of 000-ish, it is a body shape that, for me, is more comfortable to play/hold than the dreadnought.

The Q1T electronics are, IMHO, quite nice, with what I have found to be an accurate tuner. Run through my Roland AC-90, it sounds wonderful. Unplugged, the flame maple does, as one would expect, give this guitar a sound that leans toward the "bright" - but, IMHO, not too bright - and, I have my cedar over mahogany Walden G1070 for a more balanced acoustic sound. And, I really appreciate the 1.8" nut.

The quality of Godin acoustics is first-rate - whether all-laminate, solid topped with laminate back and sides, or all solid construction. Godin does laminates quite well.

Assuming you want a guitar to plug in, and you don't mind a "brighter" acoustic-only sound, the Seagull Performer is a very good value, and a very nice guitar!

Not at all. Some will say only solid wood sound good i disagree. I own some solid wood guitars and some that only have solid tops. I would say the especially the seagulls sound just as good.

I would agree.

They are very beautiful guitars.
I got this one about 3 years ago.

You are lucky enough to own a Seagull Artist Cameo - the seagull inlay at the 12th fret is a giveaway - yours is all-solid-wood:

Its not an Artist, its a Performer with a neck of an Artist. Limited run?.

Ok - but, your back-and-sides have that honey color typical of Artists with the solid flame maple back-and-sides - the laminate back and sides Performers are much lighter:

rrgguitarman, I confess to not being able to see the second picture you posted at work - can't see the first one anymore, either, but I saw it at home this AM... ;)

What year is yours? Does it have an 8 or 12 digit serial number?

Flying out the door, I'll check when I get back.

Ah - you have the 25th Anniversary model - they made 2 types of 25th Anniversary models - yours, and an acoustic-only spruce over mahogany dread - my friend Ron has one of the 2nd type...made in 2007 ish...

The first 6 digits are the model number, and the last 6 are the number of your guitar - yours was the 3rd one made - and, the "SF" indicates that it is a "factory second" - typically very slight cosmetic defects that are difficult to find...

There you go...with the stain on the finish.
