In no particular order, off the top of my head:
Jason Isbell Tyler Childers Sturgill Simpson Chris Stapleton John Prine St. Paul and the Broken Bones Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats |
Absolutely, the Tiny Desk sessions are a treasure trove. Probably my favourite guitar based performance is this sublime session with Derek Gripper.
It's pretty intense |
A really great recent one is Darlingside
|
Jenny and the Mexicats is pretty fine, but I've been a long rime fan of the whole Tiny Desk Concert series.

A couple more that come to mind are Mandolin Orange and Lake Street Dive.

Huge fan here, it has exposed me to so many bands and artists that I wasn't aware of.
Margaret Glaspy Lyle Lovett I'm with Her Tedeschi Trucks Band Monsieur Perine' - amazing Latin music My Bubba - captivating duo The Civil Wars Lisa Hannigan and on and on and on and on. I go down the NPR rabbit hole and I can be gone for a long time |

Milk Carton Kids
as stated, it's quite the rabbit hole to disappear into |
Peter Frampton
Dave Matthews Cat Stevens The Cranberries etc... |
Fountains of Wayne is one of the very best!!
|
Joan Shelley with Nathan Salsburg accompanying
|
Gaelynn Lea. She won the ?2016? amateur submission... or something like that. I have never heard a violin sound so sorrowful before.
The way they do the submission video is pretty smart. The hook you with the music first, then slowly pan over to Gaelynn. |
A lot af great ones. Thanks for the replies!

If you like good roots music, this one is a winner.
Best, Jayne |
