2012 Eastman AC520 Mahogany/Engelmann dread SOLD - SOLD

The only reason this is listed is because the slightly more narrow nut width - I have a hard enough time with 1 3/4 these days, but the more narrow width makes this pretty tough for me!

This is a wonderful sounding and playing all solid wood acoustic guitar by Eastman. This particular model is discontinued, but there are a few dealers where they are still available at a street price of 1200 (1500 list price)Solid Engelmann spruce top, solid Mahogany back and sides, ebony bridge and fingerboard, koa soundhole rosette. Nut width is 1 23/32 - saddle spacing is 2 5/32 and scale length is standard 25.5.

There is one small chip out of the finish on the lower bass bout side (see pics) and some minor finish checking (very common with nitro-cellulose finish) on the upper bouts. There are also a few finish checks on the neck heel - I didn't even notice them until I had the guitar for a while.

The finish checks can only be seen on a hard angle in very bright light (as they were photographed) and are NOT in the wood - finish only. There are 3 or 4 tiny bumps on the binding of the guitar as well, but anything else in the photos that looks like an imperfection is a reflection.Other than that, the guitar is VERY clean as is the case. Almost no fret wear. When you pull it out of the case you will think it is new and I'm confident the tone and volume will surprise you.;)

I've buffed out the entire body, cleaned and conditioned the fingerboard, polished the frets and put a fresh set of D'addario EJ16 light gauge strings on. I've also dialed in the setup - currently 5/64 bass and 4/64 treble at the 12th fret with just a slight bit of neck relief. Some fine compensation of the saddle was done to get the intonation as close as possible as well.

For some reason a few of the pics didn't show in the first post...

Let's see how long this lasts at the new price;)

Just to re-iterate, the pics of the finish checks were taken in extremely bright light with the guitar on a hard angle - you will not see them unless you do the same!
