Safe adhesive for guitar finish

When I sit and play, my blonde archtop slides on my leg. Decided to glue a very thin piece of foam rubber to the surface so it grips the trouser leg. Can anyone suggest a mild adhesive which wouldn’t damage the finish and could be easily removed?

depends on the finish

It’s a Korean manufacture D’Angelico - not sure if it uses a polyeurethane finish or something different

Why not use a loose non-slip pad between the guitar and your leg? No need to fasten it to the guitar.

I tried the foam that way, but it still moved eventually. I think the finish might just be too smooth

Come to think of it Jon, the non-slip material we use between our rug and wood floor should do the trick. Thanks for starting me in the right direction.
