New Taylor GP on their website I spied...

https://www.taylorguitars.com/guitars/acoustic/327e Mmmm. More Blackwood with Hog top...but on a Grand Pacific. I like the combo on a couple of my guitars already...anyone have any insider dirt or played on at NAMM or something?

I assume that what you saw was a 327. At the risk of patting myself on the back, my prediction way-back-when was that the next Grand Pacifics would be 327s and 527s. Seemed like a natural direction...

GP 327e comes up on the Taylor website.

Great looking!

Yep...not something that I would personally be interested in. But still a cool move by Taylor...

Yep, here's my post from 5/11/2019, which coincidentally was my birthday. Should have bought lottery tickets that day...

So far I have preferred the 717e of these GP, but I would like to try one of these 327s. I have a Taylot Baritone 8 with this wood combo and I like it.

Uh oh...up to this point I thought I was immune from the GP...

I'd love to try that 327. I'm really liking my 317 so far though.

Make a nice companion for my LE 320e baritone...

I have a 2018 324ce, one of the very early V-Class ones. It's treating me well, and the wood combo in the Grand Pacific shape should be great as well.
The tone is perhaps modern, but that's what I like, no illusions about it. Forward projecting with a very pure sound. The woods give a bass response that is more thumpy than woofy.

Oh.......I like that. I have always liked the tone of Taylor’s mahogany and blackwood guitars. The 317 spruce and sapelle is my favorite sounding GP. But I never liked the look of the pickguard (I realize they can be removed). This model with the edge burst top helps the pickguard look less funky. Gonna test drive this one for sure

Thanks for the heads up on this new model

I personally think they should have led with the 327 and perhaps a 817...
