Seriously....Redwood and Spanish Cedar? Am I reading that correctly? Ugh...that trip is going to be expensive, and I don't mean airfare!!! I'm safe as long as there are no bevels...

Oh, did we forget to mention bevels? Of course there will be bevels.
So come and enjoy!

;)

Hooray for bevels!!!

Hey Mikealpine,

I too feel safe from GAS as long as an axe has no bevels...

But now I want a Manzer style Wedge and a sound port too. Haha

You guys Rock

Looking so forward to B.I.G.!!!

Thanks for the kind word Paul! So, we got some vacation post cards from Stan's FS while off enjoying the spa. She's been working quite a bit on her tan:

Wow Stan, that took on a real nice tone!!! Woot Woot! These are the best shots for sure except for when it is done of course! Then you start planning the next one.

I opened this one up a bit so you could see how that purfling pops! What a dreamboat!

It’s real, and really pretty!

This guitar has a wedge and soundport, but no bevels. I feel about bevels the same way some people feel about cutaways: it spoils the symmetry. Actually, I feel a little that way about cutaways myself, but I need one on a 12 fret. Someday I might need a bevel too, so never say never. Probably a bigger factor in choosing to be bevel-less was cost: I was trying to get Steve to make me a cheap, Plain-Jane guitar. I don't think I succeeded.

It's only slightly deflating to know: we haven't even got the neck on, and already we've failed! :D

SJ VanSandt 10-20-2018 08:44 AM

That's right, Steve, you have failed, once again, to make an ugly guitar. I may give you one more chance. ;)

You know, Tom, you are really a bad influence. (But don't stop.) :D

TomB'sox 10-20-2018 08:49 AM

Who me? :D
